Stina and Magnus Alm

Alm Fritid is run by Stina and Magnus Alm, outdoor-loving motorhome enthusiasts. The family also consists of five children from 7-22 years.

Stina has a background in school and is a trained teacher, principal, mule leader and I Ur och Skur educator. Stina has started and run the Robinson schools in Enköping for 22 years but now devotes herself to Alm Fritid full time. Magnus works as a project manager in cooling / heating and is knowledgeable in most things that have to do with real estate and cars.

We had often camped on our vacations with our two big children until we had children again two years after each other - then it became a little too busy with outdoor life. Putting the baby to sleep in a tent in the mountains in a couple of degrees above zero was no big deal, Stina thought. We had to adapt and made shorter day trips for a few years, until we discovered motorhome life. When we bought our first motorhome, we realized that it was an excellent base for exploring the mountains.

We do both longer vacation trips and shorter weekend trips by motorhome. We use it as a base for hiking, climbing and skiing both on the piste, cross-country and in the mountains. We usually stay in the camper, but sometimes we park it at a mountain station, pack a tent and stay away for a couple of days, then come back and continue the trip.

When the family expanded with child number five, we exchanged our first motorhome for a Dethleffs 6981a, which has been on many adventures in both the Swedish and Norwegian mountains both summer and winter. After two winter weeks in Riksgränsen/Abisko with, among other things, twelve pairs of skis and two mountain pools, Magnus, the packing manager, had enough and we switched to a larger motorhome with a double floor, where we could put all the ski equipment.

Instead of selling our Dethleffs, we started renting it out to friends and acquaintances and that was the start of our motorhome business. We love the outdoors in all forms and are passionate about sharing what we have experienced. We hope that we can inspire others to get out on small and big adventures.

We are VAT registered and have liability insurance. We are trained car rental companies with a license from the Swedish Transport Agency. We are members of the Swedish Caravan and Motorhome Industry Association, HRF.
