There are so many to choose from? Yes, it depends on who you are and what you prefer. If you have the opportunity, we recommend that you come by and "feel" a few different models before booking.
Here are some variables to keep in mind when choosing a motorhome to rent.
Size
Many people new to motorhoming want a small motorhome for their first trip. A small motorhome may feel easier and smoother to drive. Our smallest motorhome, the One, is 636 cm long and really compact. If you choose the next smallest, the Two, you get quite a bit more floor space and it's only 24 cm longer. Our longest motorhomes are 740 cm long.
What many people appreciate about a slightly larger motorhome is that it is possible to pass each other in the living area without having to sit down at the dining area or lie down in bed.
A motorhome is taller than a car, but still not so tall that it affects road access. What you may need to consider is if you are driving near, for example, the roof overhang of a service building, or balconies that overhang a parking lot.
Alkov cars Trean, Tian and Elvan have a roof height of 315 cm and can be experienced as a bit of a wind trap when it's windy, but as long as you adjust your speed, it's no problem.

Floor plan
The classic layout for a motorhome is to place the beds at the back and in the direction of travel. The dining area is almost always behind the front seats and the front seats can be swung around to become part of the living area.
If you like the classic layout, take a closer look at our One, Two, Four and Five motorhomes.
The Sjuan and Nian motorhomes have a rather unusual layout called face-to-face. There, the dining area consists of two longitudinal sofas and you sit opposite each other. The front chairs can be swiveled around and provide space for up to six people around the table. It's a perfect layout if you're several couples or families traveling together.
The Trean, Tian and Elvan motorhomes have a bunk bed at the rear and a double bed in the alcove above the driver's cabin. The advantage is that there are always four beds that can be used throughout the day. A disadvantage may be that you need to climb a ladder to three of the beds.
Often the dining area can be folded down to become one or two beds.

Storage
Several types of storage are needed in a motorhome. Food and clothes can be stored in the cupboards inside the motorhome. There is often also space under the benches. When you are not using the shower, you can use it to store your outer clothes and shoes.
Under the beds at the rear is a space that we usually call "garage" possibly somewhat exaggerated given the size. It can be used to store outdoor equipment such as a barbecue and outdoor furniture, a pram or golf clubs. In motorhomes without a bunk bed, the garage is spacious and you can easily fit what you need. In motorhomes with a bunk bed, space is more limited but the bottom bed can be folded up to create a really large space.

Features and functions
Whatever the size, our motorhomes offer the same features. There's a toilet and shower, fridge and freezer, hob and sink. Only one of our motorhomes, the Tian, has an oven and it is gas-powered.
We have opted for airborne heating in our motorhomes. The heat is distributed quickly even if it is cold outside and the motorhome has been unused for some time. The boiler can be powered by LPG - when you are free camping, or electricity - when you have access to 230 current. The boiler also has a water heater so you can wash dishes and take showers in comfort.
The Elvan motorhome has AC in the living area, which means that you can get cold in the motorhome when you are connected to 230 current. In the other motorhomes, you have to rely on crossdrafts if it is very hot inside!
All our motorhomes are equipped with an awning. It is easy to crank out to create an extra room outside. Due to its sensitivity to wind, the awning cannot be left unattended as a quick gust of wind can have major and expensive consequences. Awnings in combination with motorhomes are usually only used for winter camping.
